    Description

These Beat the Clock PowerPoint games are a fun, interactive way for students to practice working with various types of word groups. Students are given two sentences and have thirty seconds to answer the prompt. They can work with a partner and use wipe-off boards or write the answers down on paper. When time is up, the answers disappear (a timer is built in). Students then can click again to check their answers before moving on to the next slide. This activity can also be used for team play. Have fun learning figurative language, sentence structure, parts of speech, Greek and Latin roots, and confusing words in English!

Each PowerPoint in this bundle includes 36 different slides, and each resource supports Common Core State Standards. They are editable for your classroom use, so you can add your own questions.

Did you know that you can use PowerPoints like this in video conferencing or Zoom for distance learning? You can also share with your students in OneDrive, too. Just view in Slideshow mode. You can also upload to Google Drive and save as Slides. It will automatically convert, and you can use in Google Classroom. It is editable and easy to make adjustments if necessary.

Included in the bundle are the following Beat the Clock PowerPoint games:

Figurative Language and Sound Devices Beat the Clock

    Sentence Structure Beat the Clock

Parts of Speech Beat the Clock

    Confusing Words Beat the Clock
