Description
Working with the Lego WeDo 2.0 kits is an engaging hands=on STEAM activity! The kits themselves are highly motivating and captivating. I created these packets to accompany the Lego WeDo 2.o kits, I found my students needed more structure, guidance to actively participate while constructing these incredible creations!
The packet includes 1-building background page and 4 task cards that can be used to guide students through centers. In addition to the 4 guided task cards, there is a reflecting page. You could organize this activity in several ways. Some possible suggestions are to have students work in small groups all on the same task or in centers. For time management reasons, I assigned everyone to complete task #1. Since I only have a couple of kits, I split task cards #2,#3 and #4 up between my groups so everyone was solving a different solution to different scenarios. At the end of the project, we discussed the importance of having emergency plans. We closed the activity with students sharing their favorite solutions to their scenario and we discussed why each group chose that solution
