Description

This is an activity that reviews the four M.A.I.N underlying causes of World War I. (Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, Nationalism)

(It works best for teachers who teach the causes using the acronym M.A.I.N)

The foldable is created in MS Publisher and should be printed front to back and then folded slightly lopsided so that the "Causes of WWI" title sticks out on the right hand side.

This is a fun little project to review the MAIN causes of WWI. The students have to illustrate the terms militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism, write the definition, give examples of these things occuring prior to WWI, and explain how they led to WWI. On the back they list the major leaders during WWI and write about the first military act.

It serves as a resource for them to use as they study.

There is also an assignment sheet with a basic rubric included with this activity.

*The file is in Publisher and can be modified to fit your classroom's needs.
