TASK CARDS
Includes 20 task cards and a recording sheet. Each card contains a short paragraph for students to read and determine the main or central idea. The answers are multiple-choice and all related to the topic in some way. Students must choose the one that best states the main idea and not a detail.
WORKSHEETS
Students read three paragraphs and cut/paste the correct main idea statement. Includes two versions. These can be used for practice or formative assessment.
These are written for second grade students but may also work for late first grade or remediation in third.
DIGITAL VERSION
This resource includes digital activities that can be used with TpT's Easel feature. They have moveable pieces and self-checking answers! These activities can be assigned in your online learning platform (LMS) for students to complete on any device.
