    Description

Do your students struggle with executive functioning deficit? Improve executive functioning skills by explicitly teaching your students' all eight executive functioning skills: planning & prioritizing, time management & task initiation, organization, attention, working memory, self-control & self-regulation, perseverance and the problem solving process as well as a rubric for their skill use.

These digital, no prep, interactive lessons and activities each include at least one teaching video, strategies, tools, and apps for students to use to help learn how to improve their executive functioning skills. These digital lessons and activities are perfect for high school or middle school students that need explicit instruction on each skill and includes direct explanations on what each skill is, and how the process works. The lesson includes practice scenarios and the ability to apply the skill to their own life. Graphic organizers are included with each skill to act as a visual aid for the process.

Whether you teach general education, special education, are a speech language pathologist or other support professional this resource is what your students need! Works for in person or online learning! Can be done digitally or on paper.

    What are executive functioning skills?

Executive functioning skills are the skills you need to be a successful person. These skills involve: planning, prioritizing, time management, working memory, self-control, metacognition, attention, task initiation, and perseverance.

Students who struggle in school often have weak executive functioning skills. In order to be successful in school and in life, students who struggle need to be taught these skills explicitly. I have created an entire course and curriculum at my school based on this premise, and have students to this day come back and tell me that the “real world skills” they learned in my class, help them as adults. (Over 90% graduation rate for students who take my class)
