What educators are saying

It was attractive, chock full of information, and helped students understand more about the civil rights movement than simply MLK and Rosa Parks.
We enjoyed all three activities but the Civil Rights Movement Protests were our favorite. The students enjoyed moving around to different stations. It tied in nicely to the video we watched Eyes on the Prize.

    Description

In this product bundle, you receive 3 outstanding resources to celebrate and honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

1.) A history of the MLK holiday resource is used to highlight the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This resource includes engaging class text, a timeline assignment, a crossword review activity, and a student newspaper project.

2.) A primary source activity is included in this bundle to have students understand the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In this resource, students analyze two of Dr. King's most famous speeches, "I Have a Dream" and "I've Been to the Mountaintop."

3.) Lastly, my popular Civil Rights Protests stations activity is included to show the influence and impact of Martin Luther King, Jr. In this resource, students learn about King's famed March on Washington, but also the influence he had on the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the Greensboro Sit-Ins, the Freedom Riders, and the Little Rock Nine.
