Description

This Google Slide and BOOM Game is so helpful in helping students to understand the difficult concept of MAIN IDEA. Each game slide has a short passage of3-5 sentences. Your student will listento the passage and then to the sentence choices. Then the student will choose the sentence that best identifies the passage's Main Idea.

There is AUDIO to support beginning Readers. The Boom cards are randomized so students can play again, and again.

The Google Slides are Gamified. Students will be given feedback on if their answer is correct.

This game is great for whole group instruction, small groups, independent work, or homework.

How do I play my Boom Cards?

After you purchase this product, you will download a PDF that will contain a link to your purchased cards on Boom Learning. To redeem your Boom Cards, you will create an account for Boom Learning. The account that accompanies your purchase allows you to play the Boom Cards on interactive white boards and with individual students using Fast Play. Fast Play does not save student progress reports.

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a subscription. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial.
