Main Idea and Supporting Details Cut and Paste Activity

Here is a fun and engaging way to practice main idea and supporting details! Students need to know how to determine the main idea and what sentences support that main idea. This is an eight page cut and paste graphic organizer handout that lets students determine which sentences support a given main idea. There are four pages of sentence boxes and four pages of graphic organizers. There are a total of twelve graphic organizers that students will complete. They will cut out the sentence boxes and paste them into the correct graphic organizer. There are sentence boxes that contain irrelevant sentences to make it a little more difficult. Enjoy!
