Description
This ELA craftivity bundle allows your students to practice those essential (and tested) standards in a fun way! This bundle consists of three engaging activities that coincide with the month of March. Students begin each activity by completing a series of worksheets. Then, they use their worksheet answers as they assemble each craftivity. These print-and-go activities can be used to decorate a student-centered bulletin board or school hallway display for March!
Your students will review these skills as they complete these activities:
- The Saint Patrick's Day activity focuses on the skill of identifying the meanings of idioms. Students must read several sentences and use context clues to determine the meaning of the idiom. More than 20 idioms are included in this project!
- The basketball activity requires students to differentiate between facts and opinions. Students read statements written on 18 basketballs and sort the facts and opinions. All of the statements are related to basketball, and some have statements related to March Madness.
- The bird nests activity focuses on the skill of identifying the parts of speech. (This craftivity is 2-sided.) Students must determine whether the underlined word in each sentence is a noun, verb, pronoun, adjective, adverb, or preposition.
