Description

This original poem/chant is perfect for January to celebrate Martin Luther King Day. It can be spoken in a simple rhythmic tone. There are two options for adding Orff rhythm instruments. The first option show is with four ostinatos can be performed while the chant is spoken. The second option is to speak the chant while playing the instruments paired up with each line of the poem. Students should play the rhythm of the matching words on their line only. Poem has 3 different verses and lots of different options and ways to use in your classroom.
