We used this resource during summer school when we did an olympic theme. It was an easy resource to use.
This was the best!! My students loved participating in the Math Olympics (because it didn't feel like math) and they wanted to keep doing the events. You can modify as you need to meet your students need and based on the setting. Definitely will be using again and again.
Description
Get out of your seat and let's do some math!!! "Events" are set up using everyday materials such as cotton balls and paper plates. Students must complete the event, measure to find their score, and then calculate the average. I left the units of measurement blank so you can use this with inches or centimeters.
This lab includes 5 outdoor and 5 indoor events.
I use this as an end of the year activity and my 4th graders LOVE it!
