I always find it so exciting when I notice an ESL / ELL taking out their Math Vocabulary Briefcase to add a word on their own. For example, as a class, we were solving a multi-step word problem and the word "carousel" was in the problem. A few of my students have never seen the word before. So, we looked up the picture and added the word to our vocabulary briefcase! Students can use this for ALL words, not just math vocabulary!
