What educators are saying

Great resource! Social Studies is hard to squeeze in to the schedule and this makes it more student friendly when I don't have the time to offer explicit instruction.
This was a fun project to finish up our MesoAmerica Unit. I used it to practice note taking, as well as synthesizing information. I did take it a step further and had them use their notes to create comic strips about which invention they thought was the most important for each civilization.

Description

In this highly engaging Inca, Aztec, and Maya Civilizations WebQuest on Mesoamerica, students complete a web quest on the three major Mesoamerican Civilizations, the Inca, Aztec, and Maya!

This resource is included in my Mesoamerica Unit Bundle to teach the Inca, Maya, and Aztec.

The web quest begins with students using the internet or their textbook to identify the three major civilizations and complete a short, introductory map activity!

Then, students look at some basic questions for each of the empires! One version includes the links for each question, but another more-challenging version has the links removed for students to hunt down the answers themselves!

Finally, students complete a "greatest accomplishment" activity where students try to find three major achievements for the Incas, Aztecs, and Mayas. Then, students choose each empire's "greatest" and explain why!

A PDF version and a Google 1:1 version are included to allows students to directly type into the document! Enjoy!
