What educators are saying

Our MS science teacher uses a lot of doodle notes, these are great to include in my practices when working with difficult concepts. It helps solidify things.
My students love using these notes and have such a great time coloring them. The even have competitions for who can color the best notes!

Math doodle notes activate both hemispheres of the brain and lead to increased focus and retention! Because of dual coding theory, the student brain can process the new content more easily through the interactive tasks, visual memory triggers, and opportunities to sketch, color, and embellish!

This book contains interactive visual note templates. It replaces a notebook (and possibly a textbook, depending on the way you teach), but does not replace your practice problem set. Although the pages do offer some examples and problems, you will definitely want to supplement with plenty of practice / homework on the side as well.

Printing Options:

* Print as you go: Just select the pages that fit your lesson plans for the week.

* Print the entire file at once and 3-hole punch for student binders. Theyโ€™ll have a complete Pre-Algebra doodle note book to replace standard notes for the whole year (or more than a year for many math programs, since this covers such a wide span of middle school math topics from grades 6-8).

* Have a print shop / office store bind the pages into hard copies for your students. Theyโ€™ll love the workbook format!

Note: This book is included within the Pre-Algebra Super Bundle as well.

Check out the preview file to see plenty of sample pages, more details, and the entire table of contents for the included lesson topics.

Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other shapes; apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and use the nets to find the surface area of these figures. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.
Solve problems involving scale drawings of geometric figures, including computing actual lengths and areas from a scale drawing and reproducing a scale drawing at a different scale.
Draw (freehand, with ruler and protractor, and with technology) geometric shapes with given conditions. Focus on constructing triangles from three measures of angles or sides, noticing when the conditions determine a unique triangle, more than one triangle, or no triangle.
Know the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle and use them to solve problems; give an informal derivation of the relationship between the circumference and area of a circle.
