What educators are saying
We have block scheduling one day a week (1 hour and 50 minute blocks). We definatley need breaks during that time and the kids love these. They think they are getting a break and don't even realize that their minds are still pumping away!
We love doing these when we have a few minutes left before class is over. Read through and make sure each riddle is appropriate for your learners.
Description
With visual hints and fly-in solutions! These are a fun to use if you have a couple extra minutes at the end of class. Encourage students to work more efficiently and reward them with a minute mystery at the end of class for finishing early. They can also be a great introduction to one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories OR to a Slip or Trip lesson.
The rules are simple: (1) Students ask yes or no questions (2) Teachers respond accordingly to guide students to the correct answer through deductive reasoning.
This powerpoint contains 25 minute mysteries and their solutions.
All solutions are animated in the powerpoint, so you can project the minute mystery for students to read and click to reveal the solution.
