Montessori Lower Elementary 3-Year Cultural/Writing Curriculum Outline

This is a three year Lower Elementary cultural curriculum outline based off of the Montessori curriculum. It can be utilized two different ways:

You could use each year outline for one grade level per year. This works well if you have a large class and support staff to help with the lessons/follow-up work.

Year One = First Grade

Year Two = Second Grade

Year Three = Third Grade

It can also be done with the whole class as a cycle for each year. I think this works best if you have a small class or you are teaching on your own. Differentiating the follow-up work to make it age appropriate is key with this option.

I've also included a monthly outline of what our school does for their writing lessons every year. Typically we visit the same topics every year and differentiate the follow-up based on child ability.
