Description
Watching a movie doesn't have to be wasted time - these no prep activities will help your students think more critically when comparing and contrasting a book with its movie counterpart - as well as write an essay! Use these worksheets over and over again with ANY book that has a movie version. This is a great ending activity after completing a novel study.
The following is included in this compare and contrast books and movie resource:
- 2 printables with questions for students to answer after reading the book but before watching the movie
- a note taking sheet for students to use while they are watching the movie to prepare them to think about similarities and differences
- 4 printables with questions and charts to fill out to compare the book with the movie
- 9 pages of activities to help your students be successful in writing an essay that compares and contrasts the book with the movie. A scaffolded rough draft is provided for students that need it, allowing you to differentiate more easily.
- 2 grading rubrics
