About the Part A/Part B Reading Center
This multi-part reading test prep center resource includes:
- five centers, each consisting of one (2-page) fiction story and text-dependent short answer questions.
- recording sheets
- answer keys
This center resource contains five fiction reading centers that will help students practice answering multi-part questions.
Included are five centers, each presented in three different ways. You can choose how to assign them based on your students’ needs.
Direction pages and answer keys are included, as well as a generic recording sheet which can be used with any of the centers.
Option 1: Task Cards
The students will read the story and then pick task cards to answer multi part questions about the story. Each task card has one main question (Part A) and then a secondary question (Part B) that is related to the main question. The Part B questions ask the students to provide evidence or prove for their answer to Part A.
Option 2: Printable Question Cube
The students will read the story and then roll the cube to answer multi part questions about the story. Each face of the cube has one main question (Part A) and then a secondary question (Part B) that is related to the main question.
Option 3: Printables
The students will read the story, then record their responses on a printable worksheet. You can use the recording sheet with space for your students to write their own answers or select the one with multiple-choice answer choices.
Answer keys are included for both versions.
About the Digital Version
There is a digital version of each center included as well.
The digital version includes the same content as the printable version, but it has been redesigned and colorized for use in Google Slides.
There are TWO digital versions: one with choices and one without.
