GRADES!!! (This is the initial reason I created this product) I love Reader's Workshop but often find myself needing a few last minute grades!

QUICK FEEDBACK!!!

There is no point in giving an assessment if the student has forgotten their thought process or reasoning by time they receive the work back. I like to grade immediately in order to provide feedback as soon as possible. There are 4-5 questions per page which makes for simple grading and scoring!

PRINTER FRIENDLY!!!

Printing 6 pages per reading assessment or practice is not always practical. I wanted to create 1/2 pages and single pages that didn't lose their rigor.

SKILL BASED FOR GRADING

For quite awhile I have been required to enter grades by skill or standard. Knowing that all questions focus on one specific skill is important for my grading requirements.

RESPONDING TO NEEDS

It is so much easier to pull small groups when you have assessments that are skill based. You can truly use these assessments to create skill based groups for remediation or extension.

FLEXIBILITY

On all 1/2 pages there is an option for teachers or students to check the purpose of the work-- Is it practice, a quiz, homework? This gives students a purpose as well as makes it clear to the parents what the work is when they see it come home.
