Multiplication and Division Pictorial Models - Decimals/Fractions - FREE
- PDF
Description
If you teach mathematics from 4th through 8th grade, this resource should be extremely helpful to you.
Students need computational prowess, but they must understand the model - the physical model on what the computations represent. As an urban Title 1 principal, I worked with so many teachers that did not possess a clear view of these models that I made up as a "Cheat" sheet for them. Earlier this year, I cleaned up this resource.
The model is complete for all fraction and decimal multiplication pictorial models. It is a quick reference sheet that will help your planning. I give this resource away when I present at conferences, and I have had receptive feedback on its use.
Works for any math standards - Common Core, Texas Essential Knowlede and Skills, Jenny Simpson's Fun Standards Math - all of them. These models will NOT change - ever. They are a fundamental arithmetic that lead into application models.
It is free, so the price is right. Best to you and your students! Blaine Helwig
