Description

Perfect for end of the year in music class! Introduce six musical careers to your students in 4th through 7th grade by holding a mock job fair. Included careers are:

  • DJ
  • Composer
  • Music Therapist
  • Music Producer
  • Music Teacher
  • Performer

You will receive a poster with description and salary info for each career, as well as a unique application. All applications include one side that asks for standard job information: name, education, awards and honors, and references. This has been a great opportunity to talk to my 5th graders about how applying for jobs works. The other side of the application consists of questions relevant to each job. These questions get students thinking about the job on a deeper level. It allows me to have a conversation with them about the specific requirements of the job.

Black and white version of posters is included.

Before having the job fair, I introduce the careers with this presentation.

After the job fair, students complete a project in the career of their choice. I am currently working on getting the projects ready for TPT, so be sure to follow my store if you are interested in the projects!
