NEW ALBERTA CURRICULUM-Gr. 4 Patterns and Algebra Guided Math Unit

Calling all teachers! NEW ALBERTA Patterns and Algebra CURRICULUM! This is a one stop shop, turn key ready resource that will allow you to engage students with exciting lessons, worksheets, and center activities within a Guided Math framework in your classroom! 44 center games, student templates, and worksheets are included!! As well, 2 pre-assessments and 2 post-assessments. I have used the Guided Math framework with my students for four years and it truly allows you to reach all students! You will be able to pinpoint each students’ understanding for each objective and truly understand how to meet them at their unique level. Guided Math became a game changer to my teaching! • 215 page slideshow that explains the framework of Guided Math, tips for organizing your Guided Math instruction, tips for organizing your classroom space, materials needed, whole group lessons that are presented to students, small group lessons that are written as a step by step information guide for the teacher.
• Framework and "How to Steps" outlining how to use pre-assessments as a tool to make student small groupings based on their needs and understandings. As well, how to analyze the post assessments to see the improvement in students' understandings and any misunderstandings.
• Pre-Assessments (a form of data to help you to create your small groupings). This will help to create your small groupings and tailor your teaching to meet the needs of the students. Two are included.
• Tips on how to form small groups (how to group students- includes a tracker sheet)
• Student Templates for small and whole group instruction
• Activities for students to complete before small group instruction (while they wait for small group instruction)
