What educators are saying

This was an excellent resource. This was a great activity to use with "A Long Walk to Water". Thank you.
I posted this information online and the students worked on the activities in the classroom. ALL the students were motivated and produced awesome results! The kids I was worried about being "engaged" were the MOST engaged. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Description

What teacher doesn't love to use simple materials, like newspapers, in the classroom?

As a STEM coordinator, I am always looking for creative ways for teachers to integrate STEM engineering and design challenges into their classroom activities. I decided to work on creating STEM Engineering Challenge Packs using cheap and easy to find materials.

Are you ready to make some Newspaper Shoes?

Can your team build a pair of newspaper shoes for one of your team members that they can put on and take off?

Materials Needed: (per team)

- newspapers (free ones are usually at the grocery store)

- roll of masking tape

- tape measure or ruler

- scissors

This STEM engineering and design challenge will bring excitement and engagement to your classroom!

Time to engineer those Newspaper Shoes!
