Description
Introduce your science students to Issac Newton's Laws of Motion with this science text worksheet packet and graphic organizers. Your students will read and analyze the science text to learn about Newton's balanced and unbalanced forces, inertia, mass, acceleration, action, and reaction forces through the first, second, and third laws of motion. In addition, students will answer comprehension questions and summarize their learning on graphic organizers.
Students will learn:
- Newton's three laws of motion
- First Law (Law of inertia)
- Second Law (force, mass, and acceleration)
- Third Law (action and reaction pairs)
- Identify specific real-life examples of each Law.
- Assess comprehension through the checkpoint and overall reading questions
This activity includes:
- Teacher instructions
- Digital Google Slides version of the printable packet
- Three separate reading packets on Newton's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd laws of motion

Check out this feedback from teachers.
- This is a great resource for teaching Newton's three laws of motion. My students enjoyed reading and learning about them! In addition, the reading passages help students use reading strategies and practice their comprehension. Highly recommend!
- Nice collection of readings and questions exploring Newton's Laws.
Great to use in science class when teaching about motion. - Nice and simple summaries with easy-to-understand examples that are functional. This will help my students with lower reading comprehension understand the content. Thank you!
