What educators are saying
Description
Ease your mind while completing Kindergarten Communication of Learning reports (for the Ontario reporting system) with this document of 17 full Kindergarten COL samples applicable to Year One and Year Two students in Ontario FDK classrooms.
Each sample report card table includes comments from all four frames (Belonging and Contributing, Self-Regulation and Well-Being, Demonstrating Literacy and Mathematics Behaviours, and Problem Solving and Innovating), in the three-step model (strengths, growth, and next steps).
Please note that should you use these comments in your reports, they should be personalized with relevant examples of student observations, student growth and student needs, as per the Growing Success document. These comments as stand-alones may not be sufficient for your reporting needs, and you will likely need to supplement them with relevant examples unique to your students.
These are Communication of Learning comments that I have written myself from many years of completing Kindergarten reporting. I have acquired these comments from a combination of sources, including adaption from the Growing Success document and my own writing. Some comments are rooted in conversations and samples from colleagues that I have acquired over the years and paraphrased to the best of my abilities. Any similarity to works of other educators is not intentional.
