This was a great resource to use after reading the novel, Night. It showed the students what Auschwitz really looked like and gave a better feeling of what Elie Wiesel was like.
I used this as a sub activity. The handout was visually appealing and helped to keep students on task to watch the video. I just wish I would have found a better quality video recording than what was available on YouTube, but that has nothing to do with the seller's product.
Description
This resource is designed to accompany the Oprah interview with Elie Wiesel at Auschwitz Death Camp which aired in 2006. The episode may now be found online and is an excellent pre-reading activity for the memoir, Night or any Holocaust unit.

- Viewing Guide: This viewing guide features 30 multiple choice or fill in the blank questions designed to keep students engaged and following along while watching the interview.
- Discussion Questions: This is a set of 5 questions based on the interview to help engage students in further analysis and discussion.
- Written Reflection: This is a space for students to provide a written reflection on the interview based on what they have learned.
