I used this as an enrichment activity with my students. They enjoyed the different format of practicing this skill.

Description

Students will use the dates on a calendar as the ANSWERS to order of operations problems that they CREATE! This rigorous project will ensure that your students grasp and are able to apply the concept of order of operations while challenging them with certain parameters for the problems they create. Your end product is a beautiful "calendar" that represents each student's personality and interests.

Product includes:
-Detailed overview and instructions for teacher.
-Detailed overview, supply list and instructions for students with examples.
-Two work space pages to create problems.
-Grading checklist for students.
-Rubric for teachers.
-Photo examples of student projects.

This is a favorite project for all of my students, and one that they feel very proud of after finishing. I use a few days of class time to allow kids to work, and then the project is finished at home.
