The course is a look into the foundations of our government, society and the American political system. Participation in Government is designed to bring local, state and national politics to life and to assist you in becoming active participants in the political process. You will use this knowledge to make well-informed decisions as individuals as well as members of a democratic society.

There are 3 main projects where students will have to look at different issues in America.

There are 13 Current Events where students will have to take sides and evaluate specific issues that relate to the course.

There are 8 videos that highlight Government issues that relate to the course.

Each individual lesson includes an anticipatory set/DO NOW activity to engage students, Powerpoint presentations with notes that go along, and in class activities.

There are tests and quizzes with answer keys.

A final exam.
