This Periodic Personalities Periodic Groups Graphic Organizer is a periodic table with some personality! If your students can remember that the Alkali and Alkaline Earth metals are the 'hippies', they will also remember that these atoms give away their valence electrons ... peace and love, man! If they can remember that the Halogens are the greedy guys, they will also remember that these atoms take valence electrons from others.
This graphic organizer and matching Powerpoint give personality-analogies to 8 of the Periodic Table's element families, with both names and explanations to help your students to wrap their heads around the typical behavior of the chemical elements and for some, what they are used for.
The student graphic organizer and notes pages are included in two differentiated versions (one requires more writing). There is an editable Powerpoint or Google Slides presentation included as well as an editable digital version of the student notes pages.
