Very good resource to incorporate Persuasive, Descriptive, and Narrative Writing into my writing block. Students were mostly involved.

    Description

Teaching writing can be fun! This bundle of lessons (and an entire mini-unit) will guide you in great lessons featuring descriptive writing, persuasive writing, and narrative writing. You will also get end-of-year writing prompts to give your students one last chance to show off how much writing progress they've made. You'll get sensory word lists, prompts, rubrics, and so much more.

There are four resources included (along with a fabulous BONUS!) and the individual components can be used over and over and over and over. Fabulous rubrics, loads of prompts (there are 50 descriptive writing prompts alone!), and helpful graphic organizers will be useful to you for far more than just the times you're using the specific resources.

This bundle of four of my popular writing resources includes:

    DESCRIPTIVE WRITING MINI-UNIT PLAN

This descriptive writing mini unit is super quick to teach and will improve your students' descriptive writing instantly with descriptive writing prompts, sensory word lists, and more! It's got an engaging descriptive writing lesson plan that will launch your students into fabulous descriptive writing so they show, not tell, in addition to other resources you'll return to again and again. In this descriptive writing mini unit, you'll find graphic organizers that will support all learners, with two different options for younger/weaker older/stronger students. The epic sensory word list and writing prompts provide dozens of options for descriptive writing practice and lessons.

    WRITING PRODUCT REVIEWS
Do you read the reviews before you buy a product? Almost all of us do, and your students will become pros at this aspect of writing that blends expository and persuasive writing. This is such a fun activity for teaching writing. There are two activities included. First, students will share three of their favorite products. Using a graphic organizer, they'll plan what they want to say about it. Then, in groups of three, they'll share their favorite products. They'll try to persuade the group members to buy their product. Then, they'll plan and write a product review about one of their three products. Your students will give this lesson five stars - highly recommend!

    NARRATIVE WRITING WITH CONTRACTION PRACTICE
Can narrative writing be interactive and engaging? Yes! You're going to love this narrative writing lesson that also enables students to practice their contractions. Yep! It's a two-for-one special! If you have reluctant writers, you'll love how the prompt and activities along with loads of graphic organizers, and clear instructions will help all students be successful as they write about a day they were invisible. In addition to narrative writing and contraction practice, students will also get to do some fabulous revision work using the SCAMPER method.

    END-OF-YEAR WRITING PROMPTS
This set of 3 long-form essay prompts and 20 short-answer writing prompts will let you recognize the end-of-year while still keeping students' skills growing. The prompts use the elements of Depth & Complexity to help students analyze the year and the season to come. Both color and blackline versions are included, so you can make it look just the way you like. A wide range of grade levels can use the prompts appropriately and effectively. Plus, there are great rubrics!

Most of the activities are very, very low-prep. For the most part, you'll just need some copies!

BONUS: With the purchase of the bundle, you get a set of 20 writing prompt task cards, four for each of these types of writing:
    ❤️Expository
    ❤️Narrative
    ❤️Descriptive
    ❤️Persuasive
    ❤️Argumentative

You'll find this bundle is perfect for fourth grade through tenth grade students, and it's also wonderful for homeschoolers.
