Young learners need Phoneme segmentation practice in order to develop essential writing skills. They need to break down words they hear in order to write them. They also need to identify the letters that represent the sounds they hear in words. Students who have strong phonological awareness skills demonstrate better literacy skills.

This flip chart is designed help young learners become more proficient in phonemic awareness skills and will complement the matching phoneme segmenting cards set in my store. The activities focus on breaking up words into sounds (phoneme segmentation). It consists of 64 colorful pages that feature four different fun activities. Students will enjoy this self-checking activity that includes sounds as they choose the correct answer.
