Description

Need a Pi Day circumference and area of a circle for March math activity? These Math Detective Mysteries activities and worksheets are perfect to supplement your math lessons and games and celebrate Pi Day, but can be used all year round.

Circumference and area of a circle Math Detective Mysteries are engaging math activities that are designed to be done in one class period. There are 3x Math Mysteries in this pack. At the top of each page is a story to set the scene of the mystery, students then answer math problems to narrow down the suspects and options until they have solved these daily math questions.

NB: I have used pi = 3.14 and rounded the answers to 2 decimal places

The Math Mysteries included are:

  • Circumference worksheet with The Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off
  • Are of a circle worksheet with The Teacher's Wedding Ring
  • Area and Circumference of a circle with The Principals Donut

Math Detective Mysteries are an independent escape room (or crack the code) type of activity where instead of using locks, students identify suspects with puzzles and word problems.
