Grouping mats for each of the above listed resources
No access to color printing?
Not a problem! All of the picture cards are included in both color and black and white line art. With the exception of the color mats all of the sorting mats are in black and white.
Do your students have different learning styles?
This resource can be easily used in a variety of games and activities to address all four learning styles: visual, auditory, reading-writing and kinesthetic.
Do you have students whom speak English as an additional language?
This resource requires no prior knowledge and can be used when introducing new concepts and also as an assessment tool. The picture cards can be used as flash cards to assess your students language or math vocabulary levels. In addition, you can assign grouping activities to assess their depth of understanding.
Do you teach a wide range of abilities?
Differentiation is easy with this resource. Simply select the cards best suited to the individual levels of your students. To make each grouping activity less or more challenging vary the number of cards used.
Are you teaching outside the US?
Please note that this resource includes an additional file to allow for US/UK spelling variations (with "colour" rather than "color" and "grey" rather than "gray" sorting mats).
