Positive Self-Talk Coloring Pages and Sheets - SEL Skills Activities

Do you need a no-prep way to integrate social-emotional skills in your classroom? Teach about social-emotional learning (SEL) skills using simple and engaging coloring pages! Each set focuses on a different social-emotional topic, from empathy to integrity, each with 20 meaningful coloring pages.

• NOTE: I will be adding more SEL-focused coloring pages to this set. I don't have a timeline at this time, though, so I'm not calling it a growing bundle. Just know that if you purchase, you will be able to download more when I add at a later time!

Strategies to Use

• Complete one page as a “do now.”
• Start morning meeting with a coloring page.
• Assign one per day as an “affirmation of the day” to discuss.
• Have students color to create a student-created bulletin board.
• Keep in a calm-down area.
• Use for early finishers.
• Assign for homework or extra credit.
• Provide before or after high-stakes testing.

Why Teach Social Emotional Learning Skills

Social and emotional learning, referred to as SEL, is the process that helps kids and young adults learn critical skills, attitudes, and mindsets for social and emotional success. These skills cover five major areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships, and responsible decision-making. These are truly the foundational skills that help kids to be successful in and out of school.
