- PDF
Description
The package includes the full score as well as separate, reproducible violin and vocal parts.
My home is the prairie, where my spirit wanders free...
Life on the prairies is very broad and expansive: the sky seems endless and the land stretches out in all directions. There is a strong connection to the earth, the elements and the seasons as they all contribute to the patterns and routines people live by. There is great beauty here but you have to look for it and appreciate it for its simplicity. The soil, the lakes, rivers and forests seep into your blood; it all becomes a part of you as you become a part of it.
If I lived the world over, it's where my heart would lie.
This song is fairly large in scope and could be the centrepiece in a choral concert. It is most effective when performed as written but it can also be successfully sung in unison, with or without the violin.
By purchasing this package teachers are entitled to make copies of the full score and all parts to suit their needs; an mp3 file of the accompaniment track is also available by contacting Marzipan Music directly.
Performance time is approximately 3' 35"
