What educators are saying

I love this resource. It is organized so well that my students were able to complete the tasks with minimal assistance. I love the task cards so students can keep track of what they need to do so they can build independence skills. Those were what sold me on the product.
What a fantastic resource! I am using this in my UPK classroom to prepare my students for Kindergarten and it is simple and engaging. The children enjoy it so much. Thank you for such a good resource!

Description

This comprehensive, standards based curriculum for preschool and/or pre-k will ensure your students are ready for kindergarten in the fall. Everything is planned for you each day, and children will learn letter names, letter sounds, phonemic awareness, rhyming, comprehension skills, handwriting, numbers, counting, 1:1 correspondence, patterns, fine motor skills, sight words, shapes and so much more!

Children thrive when they are on a routine, and both teachers and students love the consistency this program provides.

The structure and format stays the same each day.

This builds confidence, fluency and provides the scaffolding children need to be successful.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "What a GREAT resource! I have not found anything like it on the internet to prepare PREK students for Kindergarten. Easy to use, planned out well and it gives me confidence that the students know what they need to know and help parents filling in the gaps."

The activities and worksheets in this resource work well for:

  • the first few weeks of kindergarten
  • summer school
  • pre-k programs
  • preschool
  • homeschooling
  • homework
  • tutoring
  • small groups
  • and so much more!

If you use the activities five days a week as outlined in the directions, these materials and lessons take six weeks to complete.

You can also spread out the activities and go through the program at your own pace.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "This was an amazing resource to send home over the summer for my incoming students."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"This resource is worth every penny spent! It exceeded my expectations. The creator provided additional useful resources that will help prepare my son for kindergarten. I’m a stay at home mom who taught elementary education for 19.5 years. These organized resources compliment the curriculum I’ve already planned and help me set goals for my 4 year old. I’m extremely pleased."

--- HOW DO I IMPLEMENT THIS CURRICULUM?---

Please note: you can use the materials any way you wish, but this is how I implement the program.

All the planning and prep work has been done for you!

Daily Worksheets

  • You'll print four pages each day, and if you print front to back, it only takes two pieces of paper. I print all the pages and place them in a binder or folder for each student so they are ready to go each day!

  • Children love their Daily Tasks page (these are optional). Small pictures show them their assignments for the day, and they color the star when they complete each activity. This is amazing for motivation and accountability, because they can't wait to color their stars each day!

Additional Hands-On Activities

These printables make it easy for you to differentiate and target your instruction, whether you're homeschooling or in the classroom.

There are so many additional activities included to reinforce the skills targeted in each daily lesson.

  • Colorful alphabet picture cards - 3 pictures per letter sound (short vowel sound only)
  • Retelling/sequencing picture cards - these come in color so as you're reading the short story, children can use the cards to help them sequence and then retell
  • 10 sight word activity pages - children color, trace and spell then ten sight words we learn
  • Pre-handwriting activity pages - these teach students the basic formations and directionality patterns we follow when writing letters
  • Scissor cutting practice
  • Color sorting mats
  • Bear patterns - match the pattern and complete the pattern
  • Alphabet cut and paste - matching capital and lowercase letters
  • Rhyming cut and paste

Every activity has an adorable little picture card that can be cut out and pasted on the daily task page. These correlate with the stars children can color after completing their tasks for the day!

Bonus Charts

  • "I'm ready for kindergarten!" goal chart comes in both color and BW along with a letter to send home to parents explaining our standards
  • Daily chore chart to be used at home including household chores, playing outside, quiet time and so much more (perfect if you're using this for homeschool)

UPDATE: I now include a goal chart where you can edit the heading to say what you need.

Both a PDF and JPG version are included:

  • The JPG file can be added to a program of your choosing and you add your own text boxes
  • Directions to edit the PDF are included

Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
