Description

Are you searching for a step-by-step PowerPoint that can be used to introduce mathematical probabilities to your students in a way that will grab their attention? You've come to the right place! If so, this highly interactive 40-slide PowerPoint may be exactly what you are looking for! The PowerPoint begins by introducing the definitions of the following probability terms: certain, likely, equally likely, unlikely, and impossible. They will learn how to show the probability of an outcome in number format, as well (ex. 1 in 6).

After the introduction of terms and showing the terms on a continuum, the PowerPoint contains 29 practice slides that include probability problems in several different formats: pulling marbles from a bag, spinners, drawing from a deck of cards, rolling dice, and word problems.

***A PowerPoint companion handout is also included in this file. Students can follow along and record answers on this handout as you progress through the PowerPoint! The companion handout is available in both printable format or digital format.**
