This is a project-based assessment over Quadratics in real-life. The student is asked to find a parabola in real-life and take a photo of it. Then they complete a one-page document including the photo and a paragraph describing the photo. They are required to use the following vocabulary in their paragraph: vertex, maximum or minimum, quadratic function, and parabola. Could be used as extra credit.
