What educators are saying

Thank you for creating an easy-to-use, engaging, fun resource for students. It saved lots of time in planning and creating. I love alternative ways to teach ELA skills.
This was a great resource to teach my students about QAR. I appreciated the colorful posters. My students referenced them often.

Description

Boost reading comprehension and help your students with asking and answering questions using the Question-Answer Relationship Strategy! This set includes 17 posters to teach your students to interpret questions using the Question-Answer Relationship Strategy (QAR). Then, show students how to find information to answer questions in the text. Question-Answer Relationship supports Common Core Ask and Answer techniques across multiple grade levels and curriculum areas.

What teachers like you are saying:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My students are now telling me what kind of questions they are being asked, not only in ELA, but science and math, too! Love this resource!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Great resource!  It was easy to follow and gave immediate reproducibles that can be used easily in the classroom.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This product compliments my guided reading instruction so nicely! I love the anchor charts and student friendly language.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I love these.  I put them up in my room so we could discuss what type of question we are being asked and then I had the students make up their own questions for the novel they were reading.  For each chapter, they had to make up one of each type of question.  They were able to use the posters to help them make the correct type of questions.

This packet contains:

✅ 17 Question-Answer Relationship anchor charts to teach students the QAR strategy:

Definition of each type of question

Comprehension strategies that can be used

Sample question stems for each strategy

Steps to find answers in the text

Print and laminate the anchor charts for your students to use as a reference.

✅  Student copies of steps telling how to find answers in the text.

✅  Sorting Activity with over 40 Question Stems to sort. This will help students gain a better understanding of different types of questions.

✅  Bookmarks for students to use as a reference with the four different types of questions.

✅  A Worksheet for students to write questions (this can be used with any text).
