Readers' Theater: Exploring Early America (4th & 5th grade)

Students will travel back in time to witness the earliest inhabitants of our continents as they practice fluency and expression all at the same time! This original play contains 23 parts featuring 3 different reading levels to ensure whole class participation, differentiation, and engagement. Students will participate in a mammoth hunt, visit a Mayan temple, and board a Viking ship as they learn about important historical events in a humorous and engaging way! Integrating important Social Studies concepts with key LA common core standards such as fluency and expression, this original play provides a rich and meaningful activity for students in the intermediate grades.
