Students will actively engage in dialogue that will increase their awareness of the events surrounding September 11th through a kid sensitive script based on a true story focusing on the human spirit.
Stitches of Love tells the sweet story of the power of healing provided through a rescued flag from Ground Zero and the journey it made around our country to its final resting place in the 9/11 Memorial.
By providing 16 individual parts, more students will have a chance to practice fluency, use the included vocabulary words in context, and increase their basic knowledge of this important event. Parts are leveled by reading ability to make assigning them an easy task! Great opportunity to connect knowledge of an important national event with common core standards in Language Arts….even this early in the year!
