Reader's Theater Play Scripts: Grimm Fairytales

This package includes four Reader's Theater scripts of classic Grimm fairytales:

- Hansel and Gretel

When Hansel and Gretel are left in the forest, they stumble across a house made of sweets. But they'll have to escape the old witch who lives there before they can find their way home.

- Snow White

After Snow White runs away from the evil queen, she finds a safe little cottage in the woods and befriends seven dwarfs. But the evil queen does not plan on letting Snow White be "the fairest in the land."

- Rumpelstiltskin

Rumpelstiltskin helps the miller's daughter spin straw into gold after she promises to give him her first-born child. But when her child is born, the miller's daughter must guess the little man's name in order to keep him.

- Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood is tricked by the wolf, who pretends to be her sick grandmother.

These scripts would be great to use for a unit on fairytales or as an introduction to Reader's Theater, as the texts will be very familiar to students.
