Whether you're implementing a book club, literature circles, or another form of independent, choice reading, students need to have opportunities to socialize and share their thinking. With these reading task cards for fiction and nonfiction, your students will be able to share meaningful information about their books with their classmates even when everyone is reading a different novel.

The reading task card questions are unique, so if you are looking for something different, they relate to students' experiences and interests with the book, characters, plot, setting, theme, mood, tone, point of view, author's style, and more. Students will be asked to think about and analyze their novel from different creative angles as they don their critical thinking hats.
Since 60 task cards are included for each genre (fiction and nonfiction), you will be able to use these cards over and over for years to come. Consider printing on cardstock and laminating for resilience.
