Reading Isotope Notations Self Checking Worksheet
- Google Driveā¢ folder
- Excel Spreadsheets
Description
This worksheet guides students to read isotope notations and decide protons, neutrons, and electrons based on given information. The fact that isotopes can be written in different notations can be confusing--students see examples of all three right from the beginning. Whether it's for homework, classwork practice, a review activity, or used as an intervention, your students WILL have success with reading isotope notations. Students get MANY at-bats with reading isotope notations--so much so that you shouldn't have ANYONE still confused.
This worksheet includes 15 practice questions. It is self-checking using conditional formatting in Google Sheets making grading incredibly easy. This also helps students get immediate feedback on whether they understand the content. If you would like to simply print the worksheet, a printer-compatible version is also included.
