Learning Objective

After reading each passage or poem, students will answer a variety of comprehension questions with multiple choice answer options.

Description

This resource contains SIX reading comprehension passages (3 nonfiction passages and 3 fiction passages). Following each passage, there are six multiple-choice comprehension questions, making them ideal for test prep practice. These reading passages can be used in so many ways! Some options include using them as a test prep activity, as morning work or homework, or as part of a small group lesson. These passages are written at 4th and 5th grade reading levels.

The comprehension questions vary with each passage, which allows your students the opportunity to review several reading skills at once. Some of the skills include inferring, using context clues to define words, identifying figurative language within the passage, determining the theme, and identifying cause-and-effect relationships.

Here's your chance to try out FIVE formats for free! This bundle allows teachers the capability to choose between the printable version, the Google Slides version, the self-checking Google Forms version, the Easel Activity version, and the self-checking Easel Assessment version.
