Description
Reading Response Journals are the perfect place for students to respond to novels that are read aloud in the classroom. This Reading Response Journal covers 10 different reading skills and strategies. There is a Divider Tab for each skill or strategy, each with a built in Anchor Chart and Sentence Frames. This resource also includes Mini Lessons to introduce each skill or strategy. These journals were designed for use with Literature Texts, and there are two versions to choose from: 2nd to 3rd grade and 4th to 6th grade.
Reading Response Journals have gone DIGITAL!! The digital pages are available in Google Slides. However, from there you can also download them as PowerPoint files. The journal pages include a tabbed anchor chart slide for each of the 10 reading strategies and skills. After each anchor chart, you will find pages where students can write their reading responses. The journal pages also include a journal cover, journal guidelines, and a scoring guide.
