What educators are saying

I used this as a digital resource and printed it our. My honors students completed it individually and my EL/accommodated groups used the print version so they could physically sort through the numbers.
The hierarchy of numbers is something that students seem to struggle with every year. So having this activity with the colorful visual really helped them understand where numbers belong. It provided the right amount of challenge and was easy for me to answer questions and see if they made mistakes.

Know that numbers that are not rational are called irrational. Understand informally that every number has a decimal expansion; for rational numbers show that the decimal expansion repeats eventually, and convert a decimal expansion which repeats eventually into a rational number.
