What educators are saying
This made it easy to engage and teach the students in my high school self-contained special education classroom. Thank you!
Description
One of my favorite things to do is show kids how what they learn in school matters in the real world! Students will use critical thinking, research, problem solving, and math skills to complete this project.
Kids are always talking about wanting pets and this project will help them think about everything that goes into adopting a new furry family member! This would work great for an extension, real world math center, or as a whole group or partner project.
MATH SKILLS USED
* Decimals and money
* Rounding (if they round to the nearest dollar)
* Computation (addition and subtraction)
* Word problems and problem solving
