What educators are saying

My students loved this resource. I assigned it as a project for them to complete at home and bring to class to share. We are preparing for Earth day in a couple of weeks. Students started to understand the importance of recycling to create new things.
My students loved using this for the classwork! They were very engaged and did not wasn't to stop. They had no problems getting started, it did not take much time to prepare this resource. I changed it a little for my 'meeting grade level' students. wonderful resource!!!!

Description

I assigned this project to my class last year and they LOVED IT! I had some very creative products made out of recycled or repurposed materials. Perfect for Earth Day! Can also be used when teaching conservation, recycling, Earths natural resources...etc.

This pack includes:

- Project Guidelines Sheet

- Reflection Sheet (The students completed this reflection along with the project. I did it in class to hold the kids accountable for their project but it can be completed at home along with the project. It can be difficult to grade the product, so I used this reflection as a grade)

- Presentation Rubric (I had the students present the project to the class and explain the materials they used and how it is useful. I used this rubric to assign the presentation grade)

- Blank Presentation Rubric ( attached a blank one in case you wish to weigh the components differently. You can use this to assign as many points as you wish to the different components of the project)

After all the presentations, I set up the projects on the student desks. We "visited" the recycling museum" to examine all the projects. The kids LOVED it!

Enjoy!
Please let me know what you think! I love getting feedback from other teachers. If there is anyway to improve my products and make it more helpful for teachers...I'm all ears...mickey ears! ;)
