What educators are saying

We love this story! Often when the kids are struggling, we talk about whether they want to bounce or splat. This has been a very effective way of helping them to switch gears when they are struggling.
I LOVE this resource! Such a great way to help students understand this concept. Also, the materials look great and are easy to print off and use.

Description

These coping and resiliency activities are great for individual counseling, group counseling, or guidance SEL lessons with students that become easily dysregulated or have a tough time coping with day-to-day stressors at school. Help your students self-regulate, build resilience, and bounce back instead of going SPLAT!

These activities can be used all together in one longer lesson, or you can split them up and use this resource in 2-3 sessions/lessons with your students. They're for counselors, social workers, or classroom teachers.

This isn't just character education - this is research and skills based social emotional learning that helps students be the best they can be!

*Now includes a Google Slides TM version of the story and activities for distance learning.*
